Community First

    Supporting the Community

Every house clearance is an opportunity to give back. We don't see items as waste — we see things that can be loved again by someone who needs them.

    How It All Started

From the very beginning, we knew that supporting our local community wasn't just something we wanted to do — it was something we were in the perfect position to do. Every house clearance puts hundreds of reusable items in our hands, and we saw an opportunity to make sure those items reached the people who needed them most.

That belief led us to launch The Angelical Den — our Benwell-based community store. If an item existed, chances are it was in the Den. From cups and saucers to sofas and beds, the shelves and floors were always full of affordable, quality household goods ready for a second life.

The Den quickly became more than just a shop. We built a brilliant following of locals who'd visit us daily — some to pick up a bargain, others just for a chat and a cuppa. It became a proper community hub, and that spirit is something we carry with us in everything we do today.

The Angelical Den first opened its doors in 2010, and for fifteen years it was at the heart of our community mission. But by 2025, we'd outgrown the space — and realised it was limiting who we could reach and support.

So, The Angelical Den went mobile. We expanded our presence across car boot sales throughout the region, and our loyal customer base can now contact us directly with requests — whether it's a specific piece of furniture, clothing, or household essentials — and we deliver straight to them.

Going mobile has been a game-changer. With increased storage space, we can hold more community stock than ever before, meaning we're able to help more people, more often. What started with a simple idea has grown into something we're genuinely proud of — and it's why we'll always be community first.

    More Than a Clearance — It's a Mission

We are not a waste company that sees everything as rubbish — we see items that have been loved, and we look for ways they can be loved again.

Usable furniture, clothing, and household items including food, plants and anything that can be useful to someone from our clearances are donated to local families, refugees, and those experiencing hardship in Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, Sunderland, and across the wider North East region.

General household items that can be reused — from furniture and kitchenware to clothing and electricals — are donated, reused, sold affordably, or provided free to local families and individuals in need at car boot sales across the region.
